Celebrate Noosa’s colourful surfing history with the 2019 Noosa Festival of Surfing, returning this March near our Noosa Heads accommodation!
When it comes to surf culture on the Sunshine Coast, few share the same history and popularity as Noosa, which has been an iconic surfing destination in Australia long since the ‘50s and ‘60s. The Noosa Festival of Surfing - which was established in 1992 by Noosa Malibu Club - celebrates Noosa’s world-famous surf culture each year with a week of nonstop surf action in and out of the ocean, and for lovers of the surf, it’s one momentous beachfront event that shouldn’t be missed.
This autumn, Noosa will come to life over nine days when the Noosa Festival of Surfing returns for its 27th annual event. As with each year, there’ll be a diverse program of surfboarding events for all to spectate and take part in, with just a few including Boys and Girls U15, Junior Mens and Womens, Mens and Womens Open, Mens and Womens Logger Pro, Mens 65 and Over, as well as Dog Surfing.
During the events, don’t miss a fun program taking place around Noosa, which will include live surf music, surfing exhibitions, beach yoga, sand workshops, heritage walks, trivia nights and lots more! On top of that, make sure to stay for the whole duration of the 2019 Noosa Festival of Surfing, as there’ll be an unmissable Opening Party at Thomas Surfboards, as well as a Closing Party at Miss Moneypennys to celebrate the achievements of participators before sending off the festival in high spirits.
For passionate surfers, fans of the surf, beachgoers and anyone looking for an excuse to head to the Sunshine Coast, don’t miss the 2019 Noosa Festival of Surfing when it hosts its 27th event on March 2 to March 10!
Put yourself in the centre of the action this March with Noosa Hill Resort.
